Be Encouraged

In 2 Timothy 4 Paul was sharing from his heart as he was attempting to be an encourager to young Timothy. But something interesting caught my eye. In verse 9 Paul ask Timothy to come and visit with him soon. Apparently, Paul was in prison facing the most difficult period of his life’s work. He felt deserted by his friends in ministry and harmed by others. Only the Lord had stood with him in his defense. Thus, Paul declares that the message of the gospel shall be fully proclaimed and the Gentiles shall hear of it. As for himself, Paul gave thanks that soon he would be in the presence of the Lord in His kingdom and gave Him glory for ever and ever. Amen!
Do you know of someone who needs encouraging today. As you think on this, let me be and encourager to you.
Our God is awesome and Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior of all who believe and trust in Him. Through the presence of the Holy Spirit Jesus will always stand by those who are faithful and trustworthy, living by the word while they may face many trials of life. If you feel alone, experiencing grief, going through a tough situation, Christ will stand with you, and, you have many members of the church who will pray for you. One day we will be in the presence of the Lord to give Him glory for ever and ever.
But until then let us praise Him for our salvation.
In Christ Alone,
Roy Porter
